Welcome to spring break! Public school students across New York City are counting down the minutes until recess starts on Friday, and families are looking forward to celebrating Passover and Easter this weekend.
There are Easter festivities in every borough this weekend, including classic egg hunts and Fifth Avenue's spectacular Easter Bonnet Parade on Sunday. Your kids can also take professional photos with the Easter Bunny at a handful of nearby malls.
Saturday is your last chance to catch the magnificent Macy's Flower Show, where you can wander through replicas of beautiful Brazilian gardens. The New York International Auto Show drives into the Jacob Javits Center this week and stays throughout spring break. Or if you just want to kick back and enjoy the spring weather, spend the weekend hanging out in one of NYC's fantastic Destination Playgrounds.
These are just a few of the great things going on this weekend. Our best bets are below. You can find additional suggestions in our Event Calendar and our Spring Fun Guide, which we're furiously updating for the season. We also have a great list of things to do over spring break if you're planning a NYC staycation. Have a happy holiday, whatever you're celebrating!
